Guided Routes in Pampaneira in the Alpujarra
1. Village Walk
Along Pampaneira's streets we will discover traditional customs, Arabic architecture, the secrets of local springs, the Magic of the small passageways. Legends and Landscapes. Together we will discover “The Authentic Alpujarra”. A guided route to awaken sensations, beside the tallest Mountain of the Iberian Peninsula.
THE ROUTE ENDS WITH “TAPAS OF JAMON AND QUESO” IN A LOCAL WINE CELLER.
2. Country Walk
The route includes 6 stops to learn about the Sierra Nevada and its high peaks, the Poquiera river and its watermills, the threshing circles, traditional agriculture practices like the parva, farmhouses, the acequia irrigation channels, chestnut trees, farm animals and enlivened with anecdotes of life in the Poqueira valley.s
